SUPERVISOR - REGISTERED DIETITIAN NUTRITIONIST
Job Description:
- Minimum 20 hours per week (up to 30-40 available), W-2 status
- Provides direct clinical oversight for clinicians, fostering MNT, counseling, and behavioral health nutrition skill sets at the outpatient level of care
- Supports clinicians in implementing Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size principles.
- May supervise pre-licensed staff, which requires undersigning documentation
- Attends and participates in team, supervisor, and administrative meetings as required
- May choose to participate in providing one-on-one nutrition counseling for clients at the outpatient level of care
- Maintains professional and therapeutic boundaries with clients and supervisees
- Follows Best-Practice guidelines for collaboration with community partners, such as treatment centers, therapists, and physicians
- May precept interns interested in outpatient or behavioral health concentrations
- Participates in leadership tasks and responsibilities as needed
- Participates in developing clinical resources and policies regarding direct client care
- Collaborate and communicate with colleagues in a supportive, constructive work environment
- Complies with all HIPAA laws and regulations
Required qualifications (if you do not meet ALL of the required qualifications, please DO NOT APPLY):
- Residence: MUST reside in the state of California
- Education: Bachelor’s degree at minimum
- Completion of an ACEND-accredited dietetic internship (verification documentation required upon hire)
- Maintains up-to-date registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as registered dietitian nutritionist for the duration of contract
- MINIMUM 2 years of work experience in behavioral health field with large emphasis on care for eating disorder population
- Does not plan to be engaged in employment simultaneously with any other organization, private practice, etc. that would constitute a conflict of interest
- Calm, compassionate demeanor in engaging with clients/patients
- Ability to self-manage time efficiently in the process of providing quality care
- Effective and responsive in communicating with clients and colleagues
- Willingness to learn on the job, receive and implement feedback from peers, and engage in a continual professional learning process
- Desire to participate in a collaborative team dynamic
- Familiarity with Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size concepts and application
Preferred qualifications:
- 3-5 years eating disorders/behavioral health nutrition experience
- Minimum 1 year outpatient counseling experience
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
- Familiarity with client-centered, trauma-informed approach to care
