Bernadine Alaniz is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with experience in practical family meal planning, nutrition education for transitional housing adults and pregnant teens, Head Start family counseling, and a passion for working with all eating disorder types. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, and Food Science at California State University, Northridge, and a dietetic internship with Priority Nutrition Care Distance Dietetic Internship. Bernadine believes that each individual is unique and understands the importance of personalized care. She is dedicated to providing families and individuals with tailored intuitive eating care delivered with empathy, equity, and an all-foods-fit understanding. Bernadine spends her free time with her family, watching scary movies, reading books, riding roller coasters, and going on road trips.
Anna Lucas-Zimmer, RDN

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Anna Lucas-Zimmer is an aspiring Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, who completed her Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, as well as her Dietetic Internship program from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona. Anna plans to complete her Master’s Degree in Nutrition Psychology and become a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDRD) in the near future. Anna’s passion is to promote health and wellness through dietary and nutrition care, while educating individuals, community, and healthcare professionals about the importance of intuitive and mindful eating. Anna is thrilled to be with such an amazing clinical team at Bamboo Nutrition Therapy and will impact many lives that walk through our door.
Dana Messmore, RDN

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Dana Messmore is a Registered Dietitian who joined Bamboo Nutrition Therapy in 2022. At Bamboo, Dana provides nutrition education for a wide range of clients for medical nutrition therapy, eating disorders, and disordered eating. Prior to Bamboo, Dana worked at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC); she continues to do so part-time. Dana graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of North Florida and completed her dietetic internship at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Dana has a strong passion for outpatient care. She believes that every client is unique, requiring individualized dietary guidance tailored to their medical needs, lifestyle, and personal history. In her spare time she enjoys experimenting with new recipes, spending time with her fiance, friends, and family, and getting outside with her dog, June.
Teri Osalla, RDN

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Teri Osalla completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Food Science and Dietetic Internship at Cal State San Bernardino. Starting her career as an acute care dietitian and patient services manager in the heart of Los Angeles, Teri recognized a growing need for rehabilitative care. She understands the role that nutrition plays among other facets of overall wellbeing, and is dedicated to empowering others to discover sustainable nourishment and a positive relationship with food. As a certified counselor in Intuitive Eating, Teri is eager to provide individualized, compassionate nutrition care to her community and aims to pursue a specialist certification in Eating Disorders. In her spare time, she enjoys the company of her family, friends, and canine pals. She also loves immersing herself in nature, various forms of music, and video/tabletop games.
Glenda Miranda MS, RDN, CLE

Glenda Miranda is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, who obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Psychology, Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetic Internship from California State University, Northridge. Glenda has gained valuable diverse experiences as she has worked at eating disorder treatment facilities, and at the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. She practices with an All Foods Fit, Intuitive Eating, and Health At Every Size approach and her hope as a dietitian is to help individuals in healing their relationship with food and body image. Glenda also aspires to promote diversity within the field of nutrition and provide culturally competent care. Glenda is very excited to be a part of such an amazing team at Bamboo Nutrition Therapy.
Ellen Amico MS, RDN

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Ellen Amico is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist passionate about helping people reconnect with their body and redefine their relationship with food. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA with a B.S. in Psychobiology and a minor in Food Studies, and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nutrition, Healthspan and Longevity and dietetic internship at University of Southern California. From working at an eating disorder treatment center to interning for a professional soccer team, she brings a wide range of experience to Bamboo. Ellen’s approach focuses on Intuitive Eating principles to guide clients away from diet culture and towards a peaceful relationship with food and movement. She believes that every client deserves individualized, collaborative care. In her free time, she is a yoga instructor and enjoys going to concerts, spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, and cooking.
